Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Long-term projects: – Prairie Road is closed to all traffic between Highway 99 and Maxwell Road until about September 18 due to railroad crossing replacement work. Use Irving Road, Beltline, or Chambers Road as detours.
  • Construction is happening on Bethel Road and nearby walkways during the week of August 31. Expect delays and possible lane reductions to a single lane.
  • River Road is under construction from Randy Pape Beltline to Green Lane, mostly at night between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. During the week of August 31, new pedestrian ramps are being built at Santa Clara Avenue and Division Avenue, with detours in place. One lane north of Santa Clara Avenue will be closed during the day while curb and gutter work is done, but traffic will still move in both directions using a single lane.
  • Crews are working on Spring Creek Drive between River Road and Awbrey Park Elementary School during the week of August 31. A new ADA ramp, paving, and traffic separators are done, but minor finishing work and lane shifts will continue to guide traffic around the area.
