Good morning, Lookout Eugene-Springfield,
Don’t forget: If you are not yet registered to vote — or if you know someone who isn’t — today is the last day to register before the May 19 election.
Aside from picking members of the Eugene City Council in the May 19 election, all city residents will have a chance to vote on two amendments to the city charter. Grace Chinowsky explains what the proposals are and what would change if approved by voters.
Another Voter Guide story takes us to the coast, where two Republicans are running for the primary nomination for Oregon House District 9. The incumbent, Boomer Wright, is stepping down at the end of his third term. Will Yurman has this story.
Also, don’t forget, if you are driving downtown today and tomorrow, there will be road closures on West Broadway and Washington Street to remove a tree that damaged a neighborhood home during a December windstorm.
