- Federal prosecutors have accused a Springfield man of running a cyberattacks-for-hire scheme. He is alleged to have created a malicious “botnet” that would hammer other computers or servers with unwanted traffic. Ethan J. Foltz faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
- EWEB is working on a $5 million upgrade of the Danebo substation. The hope is it will better withstand the “big one” — or any earthquake, for that matter.
- Due to construction, you might want to avoid the area around High Street, Sixth Avenue, as well as the Sixth Avenue off-ramp from the Ferry Street Bridge viaduct.
