Good evening,

You’d never forget this, of course, but just in case: Tomorrow is the last day to file your income tax return.

The motorist who fatally crashed his car into a man riding a bicycle across Highway 99 in January was sentenced to 19 months in prison today. The judge told Kacy Daniel Foster he was not at fault in the collision but was being held accountable for leaving the scene of the crash. Justice correspondent Jaime Adame reports on the details that came out in court, and he spoke to relatives on both sides of the case.

Not so long ago it seemed spring had sprung. Tomorrow, forecasters say, 10 to 22 inches of snow could fall at pass level in the Oregon Cascades. The weather service issued a winter storm warning for elevations above 2,500 feet. In the valley, expect a chilly, wet day. Mike McInally has the weather story.

The Eugene City Council voted to revisit a decision it made last week to add staff to the city’s economic development team. The idea at the time was that the $800,000 cost would be more than paid back if the team could boost the city’s tax base. Yesterday, though, the council decided it wanted to revisit the question and get a better understanding of the budget tradeoffs involved in adding the positions to the city payroll. Grace Chinowsky explains.
