Welcome to June, teachers 🌞

In this final Educator Newsletter of the 2025-26 school year, we’re excited to celebrate the winners and finalists of Lookout Eugene-Springfield’s very first Journalism Scholarship Challenge.

As part of Lookout in the Classroom, the annual scholarship challenge invites Lane County high school students to profile an unsung hero — someone quietly making a positive impact in their community. Students conducted interviews, gathered photographs and quotes, and wrote beautiful profiles that highlight both the impact of their subjects and the strength of local student journalism.

We’re also grateful to the educators who encouraged their students to participate, and to those who have engaged with Lookout for Teachers since the program launched six months ago.

Lookout Educator Newsletters will resume in September, and we look forward to connecting with even more teachers, students, and supporters of education in the new school year. Wishing you all a fabulous summer break!
