Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Old Crow Coffee Company – Mu at 6900 Main St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on September 7. The restaurant scored 92 out of 100. Inspectors found that staff initially did not know the allergens or ingredients in baked goods, and unauthorized people were in food prep areas. The restaurant was required to train employees on food safety and allergy awareness and clearly display allergen information, which was corrected by the reinspection. Also, baked goods were originally sourced from an unlicensed private baker, which is not allowed. This was fixed by switching to an approved supplier. Overall, the restaurant addressed all issues promptly and improved food safety and allergen transparency. (view report)
