About Our Practice

A Child’s Best Smile is a welcoming pediatric dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a fun, positive, and child-friendly environment. We are looking for a caring, dependable Dental Assistant who enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a supportive, energetic team.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with children of all ages.

Responsibilities

– Assist our two doctors during preventative and restorative treatments.
– Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to established protocols
– Take x-rays
– Prepare and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment
– Help children feel comfortable and relaxed before and during treatment
– Provide age-appropriate encouragement and reassurance to young patients
– Assist with patient education and oral hygiene instructions
– Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
– Follow OSHA, infection-control, and office safety procedures
– Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and team members following all HIPAA guidelines
– Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
– Support the dental team with daily office and patient-care needs

Qualifications

– Previous dental assisting experience preferred
– Pediatric dental experience is a plus
– Dental assisting certification/x-ray certification
– Current CPR/BLS
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Warm, patient, and compassionate personality
– Comfortable working with infants, children, and adolescents
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
– Positive attitude and willingness to learn
