Lane Community College will hold its 2025 commencement ceremony Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Lane Gymnasium (Building 5) on the main campus, 4000 E. 30th Ave. in Eugene.
In a news release, LCC said that 1,272 students have earned their degrees, diplomas or certificates since the start of the summer 2024 term.
The ceremony will recognize students who completed degrees or certificates in summer 2024, fall 2024, winter 2025 and spring 2025 — including associate degrees, one-year certificates and GEDs.
Slightly more than half of those graduates — 51% — earned career technical education awards. About 49% earned transfer degrees. In all, 41% earned more than one credential. About 3% completed both a transfer and a career technical program.
Graduates range in age from 17 to 65, with an average age of 28, LCC said. In all, about 12% of graduates are 40 or older.
About 56% of the graduates received federal Pell Grants; about a quarter — 23% — received Oregon Promise Grants.
More than half of the graduates — 57% — are first-generation college students.
International students from more than 20 countries are among this year’s graduates, LCC reported.
