A 54-year-old Eugene woman died Monday, Oct. 5, when the pickup truck she was driving collided with a log truck on Territorial Highway about 4 miles northeast of Elmira.

Tracey Michele Lancour died at the scene, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The crash was reported at about 2:45 p.m. on the 90600 block of Territorial Highway, according to the sheriff’s office. 

A preliminary sheriff’s office investigation found that the log truck had been headed north when the small pickup driven by Lancour turned in front of it.

Dispatchers provided CPR instructions to people at the scene who attempted to revive Lancour before Lane Fire Authority medics arrived and pronounced her dead, according to the sheriff’s office.
