Searchers recovered the body of an 82-year-old woman Sunday, Aug. 9, hours after Eugene police asked the public for help in finding her.

Lane County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue recovered the body of Lee Betty Boren near the 1600 block of Taney Street in the Bethel neighborhood, Eugene police spokesperson Michael Rea said.
Police found no evidence of foul play, but a death investigation by the Lane County medical examiner’s office remains ongoing, Rea said Monday.
Searchers found Boren about a mile from where she was last seen, the 1200 block of Jacobs Drive.
Eugene police deployed drones and police dogs in their search for Boren. In a news release midday Sunday asking the public for help in finding her, police said Boren had “memory issues.”
