A 62-year-old Eugene man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash Saturday, May 9, at the Interstate 5 and Highway 58 interchange, Oregon State Police said.
Richard Delbert Hemminger died at the scene.
State police responded at 3:55 p.m. to the crash, which affected traffic for about two hours.
A preliminary investigation found that Hemminger drove a Ford Explorer southbound onto an eastbound Highway 58 ramp when the vehicle left the road’s shoulder for an unknown reason.
Hemminger was ejected from the vehicle, which rolled several times, according to state police. The cause of the crash is under investigation, police said.
