The driver of a Dodge pickup truck died when the vehicle left the road and overturned in a ditch west of Eugene Monday, April 6.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 11 a.m. to the crash on Central Road near Fleck Road, about 2 miles southeast of Veneta.

The driver appeared to have a medical issue while driving, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

The sheriff’s office April 10 named the driver as David Anthony King, 67, of Bend, after initially withholding his identity until family could be notified.

No one else was in the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
