The Oregon Ducks opened up their 2026 home season at the Oregon Team Invitational on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.
Friday saw stand out performances from senior Silan Ayyildiz, who won the women’s 800 meters; freshman Greyson Glivinski who won the women’s javelin, junior Dalia Frias, who won the 1500 meters; freshman Alicia Khunou, who won the shot put, and redshirt freshman Ben Smith who took home first place in the discus.
Ducks football star Dakorien Moore made an appearance in the long jump with quarterback Dante Moore and teammates cheering him on in his Hayward Field debut.
The Ducks continued to win throughout the day, with 12 first-place finishes. Emily Fitzsimmons broke a 23-year-old pole vault school record with a clearance of 4.48 meters.
