With the tragic news of children and a teacher killed at an elementary school in Bend, I’m thinking better control of powerful guns might keep them away from upset 16 year olds.

But I see gubernatorial candidate Christine Drazan has vowed to quash any such measures in the past. In her previous campaign for governor in 2022, her website reportedly stated that she would “veto any legislation that compromises Oregonians’ Second Amendment rights.”

Also concerning is Drazan’s support of Trump’s secret police called “ICE,” their attacks and quick breadwinner deportations, tragic to so many Oregon families. She opposes as well the Oregon laws that keep Oregon police from secretly or openly abetting ICE activity.
