I have known Kori Rodley for 20 years. In that time, I have watched her show up consistently, quietly and without fanfare for human dignity, equity and social justice. Those aren’t abstract ideals for Rodley. They are the lens through which she approaches every decision, every conversation, every challenge. Her honesty and kindness are matched only by her fierce determination to do right by people. I am proud to call her my friend, and even prouder to have watched her serve Springfield so well.
As a two-term city councilor, Rodley has delivered real results — expanding housing options, encouraging accessory dwelling units and middle housing, supporting local businesses and investing in public safety and infrastructure. What sets her apart isn’t just her record. It’s how she works. She listens. She does her homework. She shows up prepared and stays focused on solutions. That kind of steady, practical leadership is exactly what we need in Salem.
It’s no surprise that Rodley has earned broad support from Congresswoman Val Hoyle, the Oregon Nurses Association, Western States Carpenters, the International Association of Firefighters and the United Food and Commercial Workers. These are organizations that know the difference between a politician who talks and a leader who delivers.
Kori Rodley is the right person for House District 7 — at the right moment. I hope my Springfield neighbors will join me in voting for her in the Democratic primary on May 19.
