I am a registered nurse and have lived in the Eugene-Springfield area for 13 years. I am writing today in support of Heather Buch’s leadership supporting the South Lane Clinic in Cottage Grove.

For a number of years, residents in south Lane County had to drive to Eugene or Springfield for affordable health care. This often resulted in patients not seeking care until they were sicker. Buch helped secure funding for this clinic. She recognized how vital it is to provide low-barrier health care in the community where residents live and work. More recently, Buch worked to secure funding for the planned mental health stabilization center. This center will help people in mental health crises and connect them to long-term care. 

I urge you to vote for Heather Buch for Lane County Commissioner in the May primary election. She will continue to put the health care needs of her constituents first.
