Eugene voters have demonstrated time and again that we value having strong public schools to give all students the best possible educational foundation. That is our promise and our responsibility to the next generation.
One way we fulfill that promise is when we elect members to the Eugene School District 4J school board. Current school board member Judy Newman has stepped up to run for re-election and continue her exemplary service to our school district. She needs our support to keep her on the board, working for our kids. Judy has earned endorsements from across the community because for four decades, she has demonstrated that she puts children first.
As a faculty member at the University of Oregon College of Education, co-founder and co-director of Early Childhood CARES (serving children with special needs) and the district’s longest serving board member, Judy’s dedication to children is unwavering.
This is a challenging time in public education. We need Judy’s wisdom and guidance to help assure that our schools are delivering the education our children deserve.
For these reasons and more, let’s keep Judy Newman on the 4J school board.
