Travel Lane County’s Eugene, Cascades & Coast Visitor Center will soon relocate to the 5th Street Market Alley, moving the hub for guides, maps and park passes to a part of Eugene’s downtown already popular with visitors.
The visitor center’s new location will also see expanded daily hours, tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m.–7 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays, and 10 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sundays.
“We are thrilled to welcome both residents and visitors to our new Visitor Center,” said Samara Phelps, Travel Lane County President & CEO, in a press release. “Located in the heart of the 5th Street Market Alley — a vibrant, year-round hub — this space gives our team an exciting opportunity to inspire exploration across the Eugene, Cascades & Coast region.”
The center is billed as a resource for both visitors exploring the region and residents wanting more information about local attractions. It is the public-facing center for Travel Lane County, the private nonprofit that focuses on economic development through visitor spending throughout Lane County. The nonprofit will continue to operate its business office at its current 754 Olive Street location, which has been doubling as the visitor center.
