Traditional and contemporary Asian dance and music, taiko drumming and lessons, martial arts demonstrations, youth activities, and a karaoke contest are all part of the 41st Oregon Asian Celebration Saturday, July 18, in Eugene.

A Chinese lion dance opens the celebration at 10 a.m. at Alton Baker Park, and events continue until 9 p.m. Admission is free.

The event includes a variety of Asian street foods from more than a dozen food vendors and food trucks, and a marketplace featuring more than 75 vendors offering handcrafted items, products, services and community resources.

This year’s celebration marks the Chinese Year of the Horse. Eugenia Su, co-director of the Oregon Asian Celebration, said the 2026 Year of the Horse is associated with the fire element, symbolizing strength, energy, innovation and resilience.

“Over the past 40 years, our festival has introduced generations of people to the rich diversity of Asian cultures represented in our community,” Su said in a news release.

Festival attendees are encouraged to ride a bicycle or take a free LTD bus.
