A 39-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday, July 15, to more than 19 years in prison for sexually abusing a child, the Lane County District Attorney’s Office said.
Thomas Paul Wilson committed the abuse “on multiple occasions” when the victim was 11 and 12 years old, the district attorney’s office said in a news release.
After negotiations with prosecutors, Wilson pleaded guilty to first-degree sodomy, second-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, according to court records.
Lane County Circuit Judge Erin Fennerty sentenced Wilson to 230 months in prison.
Under the state’s Measure 11 law, Wilson must serve the full sentence without any reduction or early release, the district attorney’s office said.
Court filings say Springfield police investigated the case.
