Photojournalist

Isaac is a community-inspired photojournalist with a special interest in stories about the environment and sports. He comes to Lookout Eugene-Springfield through Report for America and Catchlight Local.

Isaac studied journalism, environmental studies and science communication at the University of Oregon. There, he was a photojournalist for Flux Magazine, the University of Oregon’s award-winning feature magazine and Science Story, an annual publication documenting community and environment in Lane County.

Isaac worked with Eric Evans Photography as a sports and studio photographer for Oregon athletics. He was an intern at Wisconsin Watch, where he grew his reporting skills in an investigative newsroom and Malheur Enterprise, where he grew an appreciation for local news.

Isaac is inspired by journalism that advocates for and celebrates community. He values meaningful relationships and believes in the power of visual journalism to reflect a community with human interest, beauty, and accuracy.
