Our dear Patricia (Pat) Jo Franck was surrounded by family when she passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Eugene, Oregon, at the age of 76. She has joined her daughter, Bridget Camille, who passed away in January. She was a devoted mother and “Grammy”. Pat will be remembered by her family and friends, including her beloved grandchild Sedna (Lucian), her sister Kim, brother Phil and several nieces and nephews.

Born a Midwestern girl in Flora, Illinois, to John and Bonnie Woody, Pat made her way to many parts of the U.S. and the world. She began her career as a dedicated public servant in Tucson, Arizona and continued to work throughout the country for agencies providing vital social service programs.
Always an advocate for people and community and seeking connection, Pat contributed to the community with her generous volunteering. She worked with hospice as well as co-led a monthly Buddhist meditation group at the Oregon State Prison. As an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church for many years, Pat supported refugee families and fellow congregants.
Even as she continued to struggle with her health, Pat served on the board of LILA (Lane Independent Living Alliance) and poured her heart and soul into creating a unique co-housing enterprise.
Pat was an inspiration to many and will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Donations in Pat’s memory can be made to Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon at http://www.parkinsonsresources.org.
