  • A weapon offense happened near the 2200 block of Greenbriar St. at 10 p.m. on Sept. 29.
     
  • A car crash with injuries was reported near 3377 Riverbend Dr, Springfield at 11 a.m. on Sept. 29.
     
  • An assault was reported near 1276 G St., Springfield at 7 p.m. on Sept. 28.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 840 Kelly Blvd. in Springfield at 3 p.m. on Sept. 29.
     
  • A hit and run was reported near 4105 Main St., Springfield at 8 p.m. on Sept. 29.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Construction is happening on 36th Street between Main Street and Commercial Avenue as part of the GO Bond Street Repair Project. Work started the week of April 27 and is expected to finish today. Local residents can still get to their homes, but there may be temporary lane and driveway closures, no parking zones, and changes to travel routes. There may also be construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Residents will get advance notice before any closures.
  • Construction on Aspen Street between Centennial Boulevard and Tamarack Street started the week of June 15 as part of the GO Bond Street Repair Project. Most of the work should be done by September 4, with the whole project finished by October 31. Local access to homes will be maintained, but there may be temporary lane and driveway closures, no parking zones, and changes to travel routes. Expect construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment. Advance notice will be given before any closures.
