Community crime report

  • A person was arrested after a car crash that caused injuries near Jefferson St. and W 18th Ave. in Eugene. The incident happened at 11 a.m. on Sept. 17.
     
  • A hit-and-run was reported near W 11th Ave. and Tyinn St. in Eugene at 8 a.m. on Sept. 17.
     
  • A person was stopped and arrested near W 7th Aly and Blair Blvd. in Eugene at 9 p.m. on Sept. 17.
     
  • A person was cited for reckless endangering instead of being taken into custody. The incident happened near W 6th Ave. and Fillmore St. in Eugene at 6 p.m. on Sept. 17.
     
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass near 2167 W 11th Ave., Eugene, at 1 p.m. on Sept. 17.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: – Prairie Road is closed to all traffic between Highway 99 and Maxwell Road for construction improvements from August 17 until today. Drivers should use detours via Irving Road, Beltline, or Chambers Road.
  • Construction crews are working at the Prairie Mountain School Crossing during the week of September 14 to finish electrical and lighting work and complete final tasks. Expect large trucks and equipment in the area.
  • Starting the week of September 14, Crow Road is closed between La Porte and Highway 126 (W 11th) for excavation to install wastewater pipes and a manhole. The work starts at Crow Road and Highway 126 and moves west. Access to La Porte is open only through Greenhill Road.
