Restaurant inspections
County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues that need correction. The county’s full ongoing reports are available here.
- Burrito Amigos at 2525 Olympic St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on Aug. 18. The restaurant received a score of 95 out of 100. The inspector found that potentially hazardous foods were stored at unsafe temperatures (51°F and 56°F) in two refrigerators, which should be kept at 41°F or below. Foods left out too long were discarded. The refrigerators were repaired and adjusted during a reinspection, now properly keeping foods at safe temperatures. The inspector recommended keeping temperature logs to ensure ongoing safety. (view report)
- Jax Deli at 134 S 32nd St., passed a county health inspection on Aug. 18 with no issues. (view report)
