Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- Long-term projects: – Construction is happening near 18th and Hilyard Street during the week of August 31. Lanes may be reduced to one, so expect some delays.
- Through Friday, September 4, construction at Columbia Street and East 17th Avenue will affect parts of East 17th Avenue (from east of Agate Street to Columbia Street and from East 17th Avenue to Moss Avenue), as well as sections of Columbia Street and Columbia Alley. Detours will be set up for vehicles and pedestrians on Agate Street, East 17th Avenue, Columbia Street, Moss Street, and East 19th Avenue. Bike lanes on Agate Street and Moss Street will be closed and merged with traffic. Construction will continue in the area through summer 2027.
- Construction at South Eugene High School is happening this week to repair an old wastewater pipe. Some sidewalks, parking spots, and lawn areas on campus may be closed. Eastbound traffic on E 19th Avenue near Mill Street might be closed, with a detour available via E 18th Avenue.
