I find it is time to remind everyone about war.

Herbert Hoover said, “Older men declare war. But it is the youth that must fight and die.” 

Smedley Butler’s 1935 book “War is a Racket” exposed how military conflicts primarily serve corporate profits and the expense of soldiers and taxpayers.

Lt. Col. Henry Blake of M*A*S*H said, “There are certain rules about a war. And rule number one is young men die. And rule number two is, doctors can’t change rule number one.”

General William Tecumseh Sherman famously said, “It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, more vengeance, more desolation. War is hell.”

Draft dodger Trump started the war in Iran, not the United States. To take revenge against Iran because they killed American soldiers, this draft dodger has forgotten who fired the first shot. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. We kill and they kill, this is how War operates.

I’ll end with Hawkeye, of M*A*S*H, who said, “War isn’t hell. War is war, and hell is hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse.”
