Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • The Rusty Porch, at 2134 Main St., passed a county health inspection on May 18 with no issues. (view report)
     

Community crime report

  • A weapon-related incident was reported near 230 4th St., Springfield on June 1 at 8 a.m.
     
  • A report of missing juveniles was made near 484 Fairview Dr, Springfield at noon on June 1.
     
  • A report of a runaway juvenile was made near 484 Fairview Dr, Springfield at 4 p.m. on June 1.
     
  • Police reported a vehicle pursuit near 1786 Dotie Dr, Springfield just after midnight on June 1.
     
  • Police served a warrant and made an arrest near 144 W Centennial Blvd. in Springfield at 10 p.m. on June 1.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Construction is happening on 36th Street between Main Street and Commercial Avenue as part of the GO Bond Street Repair Project. Work started the week of April 27 and is expected to finish by September 30. Local residents can still get to their homes, but there will be temporary lane and driveway closures, and some areas will have no parking. Drivers may notice changes to usual routes, construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment in the area. Advance notice will be given before any closures. Construction on Aspen Street from Centennial Boulevard to Tamarack Street will start the week of June 15. Most of the work should be done by September 4, with the whole project finished by October 31. Residents will still have access to their homes, but there will be temporary lane and driveway closures, and some no parking zones. Expect changes to travel routes, construction noise, dust, and heavy equipment in the area. Advance notice will be given before any closures.
