A person sustained life-threatening injuries after reports of shots fired in the Harlow neighborhood Tuesday, Feb. 17, Eugene police said.
Police responded at 9:46 p.m. near the intersection of Marche Chase Drive and Kinsrow Avenue to reports of people running and vehicles fleeing the area, a spokesperson said.
As officers arrived, police received a report of an injured person in the parking lot of 330 S. Garden Way, the Chase Gardens Medical Center.
Officers provided immediate care until the arrival of medics with Eugene Springfield Fire. The victim was taken to a local hospital, police said.
In a press release Wednesday, police described the violence as “not a random act,” but rather “an incident between a group of individuals.”
The Eugene police Violent Crimes Unit and Forensic Evidence Unit also responded, with the investigation ongoing.
