School attendance rates are abysmal across the state, and Lane County is no exception. Lilly St. Angelo looks at each of the 16 districts in the county and how they’re doing. One bright spot is Marcola, with more than 90 percent of students who regularly attend.
Wildlife officials are investigating how a young humpback whale became entangled in crab gear before it was stranded and euthanized near Yachats.
In Eugene, voters will decide on two proposed changes to the city charter in the May election. And the district attorney’s office has released the identity of a man who was shot by Eugene police last week.
In Springfield, ODOT is delaying work on the Springfield Main Street bridge until after the holidays. Makes sense!
