It’s great to see new coffee shops and breweries in downtown Eugene, but there’s something missing. Last summer, I needed a hose pipe fitting. No hardware store in sight. Soon after, I searched for hooks. None of those, either. And just think of the hundreds of new apartment dwellers in the riverfront area. Won’t they need hammers and picture hooks and paint as they settle in? So please, let’s get a hardware store downtown!
