The death of a man pulled from the Willamette River on Sunday, Aug. 17, is being investigated by the Lane County Medical Examiner’s office, Eugene police said Monday.
Police responded at 11:19 a.m. to a report of a deceased man in the river between the Owosso Ped/Bike Bridge and the Randy Papé Beltline bridge, spokesperson Melinda McLaughlin said.
The body was recovered by 11:55 a.m. Police have identified the man but are withholding his name until family have been notified, McLaughlin said.
