QuickTake:

Junction City, Willamette, Churchill, Creswell, Siuslaw and Triangle Lake were among the winners as prep football wrapped up its regular season.

The regular season wrapped up Friday for Lane County’s prep football teams, with Junction City edging Marist to claim a league title, Willamette remaining undefeated and Churchill posting an impressive win.

Playoff brackets are set to be released this weekend, and first-round tournament games are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8.

Here’s the roundup of weekend games for Lane County teams:

Junction City 17, Marist Catholic 10

The Tigers claimed the 4A Special District 3 championship with a 17-10 thriller at Marist. Junction City, 4-1 in league and 6-3 overall, advances to next week’s 4A state championship tournament. Marist, 3-2 in league and 4-5 overall, also seems likely to earn a spot in the state tourney but likely will have to travel to a first-round game.

Sprague 14, Sheldon 0

The Irish suffered a shutout loss to Sprague at home and wrapped up their season with a 2-7 overall mark, 2-6 in league play.

Willamette 56, South Salem 20

The Wolverines finished their undefeated regular season with a convincing home victory against winless South Salem. Willamette (9-0 overall, 8-0 league) seems to be a lock for a first-round playoff game.

Churchill 42, Eagle Point 0

The Lancers (6-3 overall, 5-2 league) posted a lopsided win at home against Eagle Point to boost their claim for a playoff spot.

Roseburg 35, Springfield 14

Playing at Roseburg, the Millers (4-5 overall, 4-3 league) suffered a disappointing loss and seem likely to miss the 5A playoffs.

Crescent Valley 48, Cottage Grove 25

The Lions (1-8 overall, 0-5 in league) fell to the visiting Raiders in the teams’ regular-season finale.

Creswell 14, La Pine 0

Madras 34, Pleasant Hill 29

The Billies traveled to Madras for the regular-season finale — and lost for the first time in nearly two months in a 34-29 thriller. Pleasant Hill fell to 7-2 overall, 4-1 in league, but still has a shot at postseason play.

Siuslaw 56, Coquille 34

The Vikings won their sixth straight game at home against Coquille. Siuslaw, now 7-2 overall and 5-0 in league, clinched the 3A Special District 4 championship and likely will get a first-round home playoff game.

Playing at home, the Warriors (1-7 overall, 0-6 league) fell to Waldport in the season finale for both teams.

Lowell 50, Central Linn 6

The Devils (8-1 overall, 6-0 league) won their eighth straight game in this road trip to Central Linn. Lowell seems assured of a first-round home game in the state 2A championship tournament.

Triangle Lake 34, Falls City 0

The Lakers, OSAA’s top-ranked 1A six-player team, wrapped up an undefeated regular season with this road win over Falls City. Triangle Lake (9-0 overall, 6-0 league) seems likely to win a first-round home playoff game when brackets are announced this weekend.

Crow 58, Powers 51

The Cougars (6-2 overall, 4-2 league) won an offensive slugfest at Powers. Crow, with a No. 10 OSAA ranking, seems a good bet to earn a playoff invitation.
