Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Jasper’s Mohawk Deli at 1665 18th St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on October 6. The restaurant received a score of 97 out of 100. Inspectors noted that a probe thermometer was missing but was provided during the inspection to ensure proper food temperature checks. There is a crack in the drain basin near the soda syrup boxes that needs repair to prevent water damage. Additionally, dust and debris have built up in the same drain basin, so it should be cleaned more thoroughly and regularly, preferably when food is not being prepared. These issues were addressed or require prompt attention to maintain safety and cleanliness. (view report)
