Two people were hospitalized in stable condition after a house fire near Royal Ave and Fisher Rd, west of Eugene. Multiple fire crews responded; the cause is under investigation.

Property development

  • On January 28, officials formally approved a zoning application for a project at 985 Williams Street. The project, known as Williams Park Cottages, involves an adjustment to zoning regulations specifically related to clustered parking for the development. (view application)

  • A report of animal cruelty was taken near 1115 Ogle Ave., Eugene at 7 p.m. on February 2.
     
  • A person was arrested for menacing near 2105 W Broadway in Eugene at 9 a.m. on February 2.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 3555 W 11th Ave., Eugene at 8 a.m. on February 2.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 1237 Jacobs Dr, Eugene at 8 a.m. on February 2.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 1968 W 6th Ave., Eugene at 8 a.m. on February 2.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Long-term projects: Construction is happening on Crow Road in Lane County between mileposts 1.38 and 8.13. Lane County is installing signs and guardrails, with flaggers controlling traffic Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The work started January 28 and is expected to finish by June 30.
