Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Maverick Hotel, The – Breakfast Room at 1859 Franklin Blvd., passed a county health inspection on July 6 with no issues. (view report)
     
  • Subway Sandwiches at 1920 Franklin Blvd., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on July 6. The restaurant received a score of 97 out of 100 during the inspection. The inspector noted that some food storage containers were cracked or broken, which could affect cleanliness. The restaurant immediately replaced the damaged container with a proper one. Additionally, a mop was found stored improperly, not allowing it to air dry without contaminating other surfaces. The restaurant was instructed to ensure mops are positioned correctly for drying.   • A report of criminal mischief was taken near 1191 High St. in Eugene at 2 p.m. on July 20.
     
  • A fraud report was filed at 10 a.m. on July 20 near 700 E Broadway in Eugene.
     
  • There was an arrest following a dispute near 1158 Mill St., Eugene, at 8 p.m. on July 19.
       
  • A shoplifting incident occurred near 895 E 13th Ave., Eugene. It happened at 5 p.m. on July 19, and the shoplifter(s) were cited instead of being taken into custody.
     
  • A report was taken for the unauthorized use of a vehicle near E 13th Ave. and Hilyard St. in Eugene at 4 p.m. on July 19.
     
  • There was an assault reported near Franklin Blvd. and South Brooklyn Street in Eugene at midnight on July 19.
