Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Cafe Yumm #100024 at 860 E 13th Ave., passed a county health inspection on August 7 with no issues. (view report)
     
  • Tailored Coffee Roasters at 686 E 13th Ave., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on August 7. The restaurant scored 94 out of 100. The inspector found that the kitchen handwashing sink did not have hot water at the proper temperature due to a leak and needs repair. Several trays of biscuits in the freezer were uncovered and must be covered. A bottle of hand soap was unlabeled but was labeled during the inspection. The interior of a residential refrigerator had cracks and duct tape repairs, requiring repair or replacement. Lastly, the female employee restroom lacked a covered container for sanitary napkins, which must be provided. (view report)

  • A report of property damage was taken near E 14th Ave. and Hilyard St. in Eugene at noon on August 21.
     
  • A report was taken about a suspicious situation near 1566 Mill St., Eugene at 10 a.m. on August 21.
