Do you feel prepared for wildfire season? If you are like most of the people who replied to a recent public survey from Eugene Springfield Fire, probably not. The survey results turned into the Eugene-Springfield Community Wildfire Protection Plan, and Lillian Schrock-Clevenger and Grace Chinowsky look at what’s included.
This is set to be a hot weekend — like Buster Poindexter hot. So if you need something to do that doesn’t involve baking in the sun, Annie Aguiar has several ideas, including a singer-songwriter at Tsunami Books and no shortage of Nicholas Cage movie screenings.

Is it possible for a program to be too successful? In the case of EWEB’s e-bike rebate program, the answer is: Yes. And, after giving 572 rebates in May — five times more than a typical May — the utility is putting the program on pause. Lillian Schrock-Clevenger has the details and what comes next.
