School test scores show a stubborn gender gap in math and science results. The gap was nearly closed before the pandemic; now it’s widening again. Lilly St. Angelo and Michael Zhang look at the data — and what a few STEM enthusiasts are doing locally to help narrow the achievement divide between boys and girls in those subjects.
