Eugene City Manager Sarah Medary, who retires Friday, outlined at a city council meeting last night what Eugene asked Flock Safety to do after canceling the contract for the automated license-plate reader technology. Questions remain about why Eugene cut ties with Flock so abruptly. Grace Chinowsky reports.

Grace also follows up on Eugeneโ€™s next steps in hiring a new city manager to replace Medary. In all, about 50 candidates applied for the job.

Tina Noland, a supply chain manager for PeaceHealth, also uses her supply chain expertise to coordinate the organizationโ€™s Thanksgiving Baskets project, which distributed 850 meals to families in need last month. Lillian Schrock-Clevenger spoke to Noland and watched the operation unfold in the days before Thanksgiving.

A lawsuit filed by a Eugene-based organization against the Trump administration contends that fast-tracked new rules โ€” including prohibitions against โ€œunusual noiseโ€ โ€” have been used to cite protesters at the federal building.

The Eugene nonprofit Community Supported Shelters has launched a campaign to raise $750,000 to renovate a new location for workers and better serve the homeless population in Eugene.
