Good morning, Lookout Eugene-Springfield,

Last night healthcare professionals and elected officials turned out for a vigil in honor of Alex Pretti, the nurse killed by federal agents in Minneapolis on Jan. 24. As that vigil wrapped up, protests continued outside the Eugene Federal Building, where officers used chemical agents to disperse the crowds. Lookout staff were on the scene for much of the evening.

Lane County officials are moving forward with researching options for a possible new indoor multisport facility.

Members of the health care community and elected officials in Eugene and Springfield came together to honor the life of the ICU nurse killed by federal agents in Minneapolis.

Witnesses said multiple people were detained by agents and others were hit with pepper spray during a series of confrontations through the afternoon.
