- Change is hard. The quirky Eugene gas station SeQuential, known for a grass roof and kombucha on tap, is under new ownership. More traditional convenience store snacks are on the shelves. The gas pumps will soon be rebranded 76. And some of SeQuential’s faithful fans are not pleased. Grace Chinowsky has the story.
- Speaking of change, The Art House, an independent theater in Eugene, along with adjacent lots, has been sold to a Los Angeles company that plans to create apartments with studio space for art students. But the buyer says the two theaters in the historic Wilcox building will remain. Annie Aguiar has the details.
- The 10-day Oregon Festival of American Music kicks off tomorrow. The theme this year explores how jazz artists didn’t just cover many earlier American songs that had been written for orchestras or musical theater or movies — they reimagined them. Annie Aguiar previews the festival.
