Good evening,

The Springfield school district says it’s heard the complaints from the public over a series of controversial Facebook posts by a Maple Elementary School teacher — one advocating violence against “illegals and muslims,” for example. The district said it is taking the matter seriously. Lilly St. Angelo has the story.

The National Labor Relations Board has struck a blow against striking Bigfoot Beverages workers, saying the employees don’t actually have union status. Seven of the union’s complaints against Bigfoot were dismissed, but eight others are still pending. Elon Glucklich reports.

The Eugene City Council is discussing how best to ask voters to renew the city’s library levy, which provides 17% of Eugene Public Library’s funding. The council was leaning toward a slight increase in the existing tax, but wanted more information from staff. Voters may see the levy renewal on their ballot in May. Ben Botkin has the update.

A Port Orford man died after the pickup he was driving went off the road and rolled into a ditch along Highway 58 outside Oakridge. Jaime Adame reports.
