Happy Christmas Eve,
We have a story today from Lilly St. Angelo, who sat down with Abigail Akins, a Eugene 16-year-old and Willamette High School student, to talk about her year as reigning Miss Oregon Teen Volunteer.
Also, the Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals has agreed with Goshen officials that zoning rules prohibit Lane County’s plan to site its $150 million CleanLane recycling facility in the community south of Eugene. Michael Zhang has the update.
A 73-year-old woman from Santa Clara, who had been reported missing Monday, was found Tuesday dead in her car, which was upside down in a creek off West Boundary Road outside Lowell. Jaime Adame reports.
Finally, I will remind you that we won’t send any of our regular newsletters tomorrow. If you celebrate Christmas, have a merry one. And we’ll be back in your inbox on Friday.
