- Bon Mi at 153 E Broadway, was cited for issues during a county health inspection on July 15. The restaurant received an inspection score of 84 out of 100. Key issues included an employee’s drink stored on food, a mop bucket blocking a handwashing sink, improperly cooled vermicelli noodles, a knife stored unsafely, and uncooked rice kept in a non-food-grade container. Corrective actions were taken immediately, such as moving the drink to a designated area, clearing the hand sink, uncovering and relocating the noodles, properly storing the knife, and transferring the rice to a safe container. Key issues included employees drinking from uncovered containers in food prep areas, dirty tongs stored in a handwashing sink, raw chicken stored above fries, sliced tomatoes and blue cheese held at unsafe temperatures, and a lack of sanitizer test strips.
