Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Ojisan Ramen at 150 W Broadway, was cited for issues during a county health inspection on July 17. The restaurant received a score of 95 out of 100 during its inspection. The inspector found that some potentially hazardous foods were not kept at safe temperatures, with sliced pork at 47°F and mac salad at 46°F. The restaurant was instructed to quickly chill these foods to 41°F or below and to cover the prep cooler. After making changes, including installing a lid, the temperatures improved, with mac salad and pork belly at 35°F. The operator is now using ice to maintain safe temperatures, and the violation has been corrected. A follow-up inspection is scheduled for July 16. (view report)
