The Springfield Economic Development Agency is inviting community members to learn about plans for Glenwood riverfront redevelopment.
The agency is hosting a meeting from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, at Roaring Rapids Pizza Company, 4006 Franklin Blvd. The meeting is free and open to the public, with food and drinks provided.
The drop-in style meeting will not include a formal presentation. The city will have the proposed infrastructure site plan on display, and city staff and project partners will be there to answer questions.
“We want this to be an open and accessible opportunity for Glenwood residents to engage with the project team, ask questions and share what matters most to them,” Springfield economic development director Allie Camp said in a news release.
Early designs for the long-awaited riverfront development show a checkerboard of blocks in a 22-acre area north of Franklin Boulevard for commercial and residential development. The plan also includes a riverfront park and bike path.
