Willamette 29, Sheldon 7

The Wolverines remained undefeated with a home victory over cross-town rival Sheldon. Both teams head to Salem Friday, Oct. 3: The 4-0 Wolverines play against West Salem, while the Irish (1-3, 1-2 in league play) visit North Salem. Both games kick off at 7 p.m.

Thurston 26, Roseburg 14

Playing at home, Thurston took care of business with a 26-14 win over Roseburg. The Colts, (4-1 overall, 3-0 in league play) travel to Springfield Friday, Oct. 3 for another league match. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Springfield 35, North Eugene 34

Springfield earned its first win of the season with a 35-34 road thriller over North Eugene. The Millers (1-3 overall, 1-1 in league) host Thurston Friday, Oct. 3 in another league battle Friday, Oct. 3. The Highlanders (3-2 overall, 2-1 in league) travel to Roseburg for another league game Friday, Oct. 3. Both games kick off at 7 p.m.

Crescent Valley 36, South Eugene 8

The Axe fell at home 36-8 in a nonleague game against the Raiders. South Eugene (0-4, 0-2 in league) will try to break into the win column Friday, Oct. 3 with a game at Eagle Point. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Pleasant Hill 20, Cottage Grove 18

The Billies boosted their record to 3-1 with a 20-18 squeaker at Cottage Grove. Pleasant Hill hosts Elmira Friday, Oct. 3 in its league opener. The Lions (1-3) open league play Friday, Oct. 3 with a road trip to Junction City. Both games begin at 7 p.m.

Junction City 38, Hidden Valley 6

The Tigers evened their overall record at 2-2 with a nonleague home victory against Hidden Valley. Junction City opens league play on Friday, Oct. 3 with a home game against Cottage Grove. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Siuslaw 68, La Pine 0

Playing at home, Siuslaw raced to an easy win 68-0 win against La Pine. The Vikings open league play Friday, Oct. 3 with a home game against South Umpqua. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Elmira 16, Umatilla 0

The Falcons traveled to Umatilla and shut out the Vikings for a 16-0 nonleague victory. Elmira (1-2) opens league play Friday, Oct. 3 with a road trip to Pleasant Hill. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Creswell 56, Willamina 6

In the battle of the Bulldogs, Creswell evened its record at 2-2 with a lopsided 56-6 victory at home over Willamina. Creswell opens league play Friday, Oct. 3 with another home game, this one against Sisters. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Harrisburg 33, Oakridge 12

Playing at undefeated Harrisburg, the Warriors lost 33-12. Oakridge (1-3 overall, 0-2 league) shoots for its first league victory Friday, Oct. 3 at home against Central Linn. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Lowell 54, Toledo 18

Playing at home, Lowell claimed a lopsided victory against Toledo. The Devils (3-1 overall, 2-0 league) travel to undefeated Harrisburg Friday, Oct. 3. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Crosspoint Christian 58, Mohawk 8

The Warriors rolled to a 50-0 lead at halftime for a one-sided home victory against the Mustangs in eight-player football. The Mustangs (1-3) travel to Perrydale on Friday, Oct. 10 for a 7 p.m. game.

Crow 46, McKenzie 12

The Panthers boosted their record to 3-1 (1-1 in league) with a 46-12 victory at McKenzie. Crow takes a week off before its next game, a road test at Elkton scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10. McKenzie (0-4 overall, 0-2 league) travels to Powers Friday, Oct. 3. Kickoff is 3 p.m.
