A 24-year-old Harrisburg man died after a single-vehicle crash Sunday, April 19, on Oregon Highway 99 East north of Junction City, Oregon State Police said.
Tyler Raymond Caseri was found seriously injured at about 2:30 a.m. after the BMW 135i he was driving went into a ditch. Caseri was taken to a local hospital. Police were notified Monday that he died from his injuries.
The BMW was “possibly” the same vehicle that less than an hour earlier eluded a state trooper at speeds of more than 100 mph, Oregon State Police said.
Police said “speed and impairment” are believed to have been factors in the crash.
