A 65-year-old Creswell man died after the pickup truck he was driving crossed the centerline on Camas Swale Road and collided with a Mack dump truck Tuesday, Dec. 30, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said.
Randy Howard Beers died after the collision near Sher Khan Road, about 2 miles west of Creswell.
Beers had been driving a 2003 Toyota Tacoma along a curve when the collision took place at about 7 p.m., the sheriff’s office said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The Lane County Sheriff’s Crash Reconstruction Team traveled to the scene, and the driver of the 1979 Mack truck cooperated with investigators, the sheriff’s office said.
